Triple-A Coordinator, Chara Karakosta, was invited the first Virtual Dialog Series of the Efficiency as a Service (EaaS) Initiative on 8 July 2021 at 3:30pm CET time. Efficiency as a Service (EaaS) is an initiative that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project aims to develop and deploy the servitisation (or pay-per-use) model and a financial structure to enable the transition and accelerate the market adoption of energy efficient solutions by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. This Virtual Dialog entitled “Servitisation to deploy energy efficiency” is the first of a series of events as part of the H2020 Efficiency as a Service (EaaS) Initiative, which explores the value of servitisation through interactions with stakeholders already implementing the model with assets deployed in the build environment. The session brougth together solution-providers and investors each describing their experience deploying with Servitisation, the impact on the market, what convinced them to onboard the journey, and the hurdles they overcame to do so. The event was hosted by the EaaS consortium: Asociación Nacional de Empresas de Servicios Energéticos (ANESE), AGORIA, BASE – Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy, and EIT InnoEnergy.
