Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum - Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place
NTUA, adelphi and Creara participated in the Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum - Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place, which took place on the 18th and 19th of February 2020, in Brussels, Belgium.
The event is the biggest of its kind in Europe, showcasing successful projects on financing climate adaptation, energy efficiency, clean mobility and innovative energy planning, as well as initiatives working across Europe to facilitate the market for climate and sustainable energy finance. It was organised by the EC's DG Energy, DG Clima, and EASME in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors, while it brought together cities, industry and financial institutions to exchange on good practices and successful solutions to common challenges.
The topics of the invited projects included the following:
- Energy Efficiency Finance – Sources of Value;
- Future-proof Investments – Financing Climate Adaptation;
- Financing Clean Urban Mobility;
- Financing Energy Efficiency in the Public Sector;
- Financing Home Renovation;
- Innovative Sustainable Energy Planning.
Triple-A coordinator, Prof. John Psarras, Paolo Sonvilla from CREARA and Svenja Hector from adelphi participated in the event to explore what previous experiences Triple-A could exploit in developing its tools and benchmarks supporting the effective assessment of sustainable energy investments, as well as to get in touch with potential investors and/or project developers and discuss on prosperous synergies and common activities.
